gotten a kitty because it was so cute and you expected all these sweet, lovey-dovey things to happen...and they didn't? All you really ended up with was this annoying, self centered feline who did nothing but eat your money in cat food and fill up a litter box? What do I do now that this has happened? All he does is take, take, take and get on my last nerve. What do I do?

Yep,I have one of those on my computer desk.I look at it like this, she did not ask me to adopt her but I did.No matter how I feel about her I just can not kick her out of my house.I made this her home and this will be her home for life.I will continue to feed her and try to make friends with her again and who knows maybe she will become the perfect cat I once thought she would become.

You shouldn't have gotten a kitten because its cute. You get a cat for companionship. Its because of people like you there are so many cats on the streets.Don't just go dump him off somewhere find him a home or give him to a shelter and don't get another animal until you learn to be a responsible pet owner.Having a pet is for life no matter what you get out of it.People like you don't deserve to have pets.

I have two cats, both that are two years old now. I found them and took them in. It took a very VERY long time for them to get friendly. Even now Sabrina has moods where she doesn't want to be around anyone, and Nicodemus is forever scared of any sudden movement or loud noise. I don't know what happened to them before I found them. At first I wanted to get rid of them, but over time they warmed up. Even if they didn't I would have kept them because it isn't nice to give an animal a home and then take it away.

Maybe he doesn't like you? It probably isn't personal...some people and some cats just don't mix. If you really dislike having him around so much, see if a friend or family member might mesh better with him, and see if they would be interested in adopting him. Otherwise, the rehoming-with-strangers option might be best for you. The current situation is probably not healthy for either of you if you resent him (as he can't help his "cattitude")...

Well give it time, it will love you if you take the time to care for it. I'm the owner of three cats. There the cutest but not all cats are cuddly Kitty's. Like my cat Starr she loves her it when people pay attention to her, but hates when they touch her. Well my cat Fitzey can't stand it when people don't pay attention to her, and pet her. Well Smokey only likes it when I pay attention to him. You should tri to find what your cats like, don't think every cat is the same. There just like people, there all differnt.

You sound a bit highly strung, I think you need to relax.
Also, you sound like an impulse buyer and you should probably have bought a pretty sofa or something, rather than a pretty living creature.
Best thing would be to rehome your kitty if you hate it that much.

maybe the cat has some problems when it was a kitten. kind of like traumatized or something. where did you get it from? my cat doesnt like my children all that much, she only response to me. i could be that he senses your resentment towards him. maybe you could find another family that could adopt him?

Leave it out in a neighborhood not too far from yours. Then get a puppy because they give back. I love my 2 year old lab.
