That happened to my friend last year. She went to the doctor, and the doctor told her it was due to stress. the doctor gave my friend some medicine for her hair and that helped grow it back.
so i would say, try to de-stress your life as much as you can, and go see a doctor if that doesn't help.
it might also be your water quality. i know for me, if the water is too hard, my hair falls out more than if i'm showering in softer water. add some more salt to your water softener if you can, to soften the water.

Hi, There are so many reasons, some serious medically, as to why your hair is falling out, stress and diet also hair colourants can also be a cause. If you have coloured your hair then look at changing your product and give your hair a spell for a couple of months BUT in the meantime PLEASE go to your family doctor and have a complete checkup...Good luck....Patty

See hair falls out due to dandruff , lice , skin infection or abuse of hair shampoos , lotions , soap, oils etc and also due to poor nutrition. Stop using all strong shampoo and apply on baby shampoo and even this you take 1 teaspoon into a cup add 5 teaspoons of water and then apply to your head to avoid the shampoo concentrate affecting your scalp. Use anti dandruff shampoo once a week and if lice are present use anti lice shampoo. Boil and cool coconut oil and this you apply to your head in little quantity to avoid dust sticking on your head. Eat plenty of green vegetables, fruits, 1 teaspoon of honey and salted cashewnuts & almonds according to your taste and convinence. That all to do and you will find your hair fall stopped and it starts growing healthly. Also have a minimum of 8 hours sleep and this is also important. All the best.

Have you used any new shampoos, conditioners or hair color or other products? Chemical sensitivities can cause hair loss.
Do you wear your hair pulled back or in a ponytail?
Mechanical means - overbrushing, pulled back etc. can sometimes cause hair loss through breakage.
Do you swim alot? Chlorine can cause hair loss.
Heat - over blow drying can cause breakage.
There are even fungal infections of the scalp and the hair shaft itself that can cause hair loss.
Do you have scalp irritation? What type of bristles does your brush have?
Hormones can also cause it. Especially thyroid hormones.
Talk to your parents - if none of the above seem to be it. Have them take you to a dermatologist to check.

keep it easy...stress may be the cause...
go see yourself a doctor, if you are afraid of one, just find time to relax and see what causes your stress.
or, you may be using a shampoo (a friend of mine had psoriasis using a new shampoo then...now a very popular brand) that is too harsh for you.
my hair was falling a lot too so i decided to cut it short and do a "rehab" on my hair. now, i only use Pantene, and it works well for me. after a month, i can now tie my hair, thicker, stronger and lesser hair fall, in a small pony

You might want to talk to a doctor about that. There are certain serious health conditions that cause hair to fall out.

hi dr, well first u have to give ur diet more attention. Try to have 3 Balance meals daily with lots of vitamins and calcium. Do not stressed and always stay calm. You can apply Almond hair oil ( mom tells me thats a good solution!) but do have a close look at your diet!

Are you eating soy products? If you are stop eating them. I lost about one third of my hair from eating soy when I was a vegetarian.
You should get yourself checked for thyroid problems.
Have you had some sort of trauma or extreme stress?
