I agree with most of what you say he was Jesu the lord and saviour not quite a hippy but he was not interested in riches only in serving the world.

Read what Jesus had to say about the "evangelists" of his time in Matthew 23. I have no doubt he would have much harsher things to say to the evangelists of today.
