I have to take some photos of some models that will be wearing my products such as lingerie for my business. What type of agreement or letter should they sign and what should it state?

The agreement should be:
1) not to take garments unless paid for
2) do not sneak them out
3) make sure you have all accomidating women or men within the room at a certian time or fire em!
4) this is a must: no drinking/smoking allowed near the merchandise
5) must pass a drug/STD exam

The answer to this question has varied details depending on which country and state you are located in; but the primary concerns are that they are of legal age to sign a contract, if not a parent /legal guardian must sign; that the photographs belong to you and that you can reproduce and utilize them for what ever the legal time frame is in your area; that you are not promising a career in modeling by utilizing them, nor are your intentions to promote their career but rather the product they are showing; and a protection clause that holds you harmless in the event some kook does something like stalking etc just because it was your picture they were motivated by. You REALLY should not do this without the legalease from an attorney who specializes in business contracts, even better photogenic licensing contracts. You could be opening yourself up to a lot of opportunistic litigation without the proper wording.

Well it really depends on the laws of the country you are in.. but the agreement or in this case a model release form should basically contain
a) consent form
b) age (should be a consenting adult, in case of minors again there should be consent of the legal guardian)
c) clause stating that rights to images rest with you
d) rights to the images: are they time bound or life long
e) jurisdiction for the release of the images ( as in you should be able to release those images in any country that you want .. and any media (press, outdoor, online etc)
f) payment terms ( do state that the model release is lifelong..no royalties etc to be paid to the model)
g) service tax component to be paid ( decide by you r by the model)
h) deliverables ( time you will require model for the shoot: 1 shift, 2 shifts, or for eg 3 days over a year on mutually agreed upon dates)

thats all i can remember now! :) hope it helps
