I saw on CNN today, that many believed this was a verse, and I swear I even read it somewhere, but It turns out not to be there. I always thought of the verse as a kind of motivator to try and god will help you finsh. It's just weird to find it's not there.

I think it's God helps those who can't help themselves. Why would He help you if you're already doing it for yourself. I thought this was in the bible too so, don't feel bad. lol

No, but the bible does say that if a man does not work, neither let him eat! 1Thessalonians 3:10.
In other words, God will not feed a lazy person! See also Proverbs 13:4, 20:4, 1Timothy 5:8. So in a way, the same message is conveyed, just not with the same wording!

John 14:6 says that the only salvation can come trough Christ. approximately how hell is, no count number if it is created from fire or no longer the comments are divided. All all of us understand for particular is that it rather is a place of large torment extremely using fact guy is separated from God.

No its not a verse. There are many sayings out there that are attributed to the bible that aren't actually there. i.e. "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" That's not in the bible either.

The closest verse I could find was:

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. —Hebrews 4:16

Great observation! It is just good country philosophy that people heard so often from grandma or grandpa that they began to think it must have come from the Bible.

No such verse in the Bible. It is man's sayings. God doesn't need our help. We are to give our problems to Him and have faith that He will take care of them

Even if it were in the Bible, God did not put anything in that book. The Bible is a flawed, man-made book.
