yes it does! my mom had canker sores in the back of her mouth, so her doctor told her to rinse her mouth out with salt water, and it helped the canker sores go away.

the salt doesn't help with the pain, though. you can just take tylenol to help with that.

I get them constantly and there is literally no cure for them, I've asked doctor after doctor...i can give u advise though, don't drink or eat any citrus juices or fruits, it hurts like hell...also, to reduce the pain, you can get this thick liquid in the toothpaste isle just about anywhere its called "Kanker" summiting and it really works by numbing the sores. (I currently have 3 in my mouth...and yes it sux.)

salt will irritate the sore. eliminate all citrus products and sodas from your diet till it's healed. rinse with hydrogen peroxide (don't swallow) and drink more water. brush and floss your teeth more frequently.

Those are now called herpes. No that is not going to work. I find for my self I get one everytime I get a cold. I find that by just leaving them alone and not putting anyting on it to keep it mosit always seems to work better for me. And do not touch them if you can avoid it.
