Because most people live for today and not tomorrow. We live in a society where we don't always value what will happen in the long run. People feel as though we can live however and it will have no affects on us. What they don't realize is that they will have an affect on us and our legacy. I don't want the world to be terrible place for my children, grandchild, great-grands etc.

not the whole world considders this planet as there home
or as a paradise for us to enjoy whilst alive
if we work hard and make it so

Many are exstraterestrials who are only here as migrands and they follow an exstraterestrial god

and even more believe (,as they have been told ),that the really good fantastic and beautifull place to enjoy and look forward to is heaven (not here on the planet)and they must die first to be able to go there
and they are waiting for that ,not too concerned with what happens here in the meantime.
silly isnt it

maybe we should all help them to go to their paradise
so that we can get on with working on ours
in a much more uncluttered manner.
with a lot less negative people around

The majority of the world does not enjoy the same quality of life that we do. Alot of people place a much higher premium on survival right now, versus possible (theoretical) doom in the future. It's hard to give a damn about ozone depletion when you're starving.

I would say that the main reasons are: 1) people feel helpless, like nothing they personally can do would solve the problem, and b) especially in the United States--the major consumer of Earth's resources--we have a mentality of "have now, pay later." Just look at the average American's debt.

how can we conserve the planet when we cant agree on whats wrong with it? Take global warming for example. Beside most people are more concerned with their own issues other than everybody elses.
