i mean if u dont shave down there or wax even if u do wash there is always a little stench and i think that if u keep pubic hair it locks in the stench what do u think ( ladies only please)

Not sure why it would be ladies only since both male and females have pubic hair. I believe Cracea hit it right on the nose with her comments.
Western countries practice the removal of pubic hair heavily. Not so much in asia and I don't see them ever complaining. Definitely psychological.

I don’t think we have a stench down there “even if we shave or wax.” The vagina has a natural smell but I would not call it a stench. The trick is to keep yourself clean. I shower once a day, have short pubic hair, and I don’t smell bad—I checked just now!

No, it doesn't add "stench", not as long as you have good hygiene. Pubic hair does trap sex pheromones, which do have an odor. That odor is actually sexually stimulating to the opposite sex, though it's widely believe we sense it on an unconscious level.
In other words, shaving/waxing completely actually makes us LESS attractive to the opposite sex, at least on the pure animal level.
Really, if you look at the history of hair removal in Western culture, it's kind of creepy how women have been taught that they are somehow dirty the way they are, and have to change to be clean. It's only been in the past decade or so that complete pubic hairlessness has really become common. I hear young girls talking about it, and the ignorance is sad. Hair in the genital area is a signal of sexual maturity, and everyone wants to look prepubescent instead.

Hair traps germs and bacteria. It doesn't matter what kind of hair you are talking about. The hair on a person's head will start to stink if he doesn't wash it every day. Basically, frequent bathing or shaving will always cause a person to smell better.

I shave down there, I do think that if you keep the hair then it could trap some funky oders. I mean I have smelled some funk from some guys and it probably would help to be nice and neat down there!

i personally don't know since i either shave or get waxed... but if someone was a bush... i would think it would smell a little because during the day and urinating... it would still be on the hair follicles...
sounds disgusting and it is... god why do we have hair done there it is disgusting
