My belief is that we are all here on this journey called "life". What happens after we die nobody really knows (nobody that I know of has ever come back from the dead to tell me what really happens). Enjoy the only life that we know is really here, love one another, help whenever you can. Show kindess, sympathy and empathy, not because your religon tells you to but perhaps just to be a responsible person and because you want to. I think it is awful that people do good deeds and help others because their religion tells them to.

No. Originally people were polytheists and animists. Monotheism came around much later.
And no, I do not worship the same God. All Gods are not one in the same and is an insult to say that, it is offensive to claim that Odin, Zeus, and Jehovah are all one in the same God. Yes, the monotheistic religions that originated in the Middle East do worship the same deity and they did split off from one source. However, those are only fraction of the worlds religions.
If one claims that all deities are one, then what about Satan...wouldn't he be included as well? After all, Christians have for all intents and purposes elevated him to the status of a deity with all the powers they endow him with. If you take a pantheistic approach then Satan would have to be considered an aspect of God, albeit a shadow side. This is part of the reason I reject the view that all Gods are just one in the same. I don't worship the devil nor some of the other malevolent deities in the world's mythology.

No, No, No,
You'vew got to remember that Religion was created out of mans fears of unknown and to help keep peace in the specific regions where peoples live. So lets say if people lived in an Mountainous region they would have different issues to deal with that lets say a civilization that lived by the Sea.
Example:
A fisherman prayed to the Ocean Gods, or the dieties of which they made up cause of thier fear of the sea. Sea Monsters, Fish not being plentiful, and stuff like such , where as the Mountainous regions concerns are a bit different. Carnivourous animals, warring niebhoors. Thieving poachers, and the likes of.
So you see if you think of lets say England third century AD they werre in a particular mess due to the fact that Parliment had just choosen a new King , and he was particularly fond of young boys. A queen if you will, Well how would you call that one, nobody wants to say anything cause he will go and throw a biatch fit and have you executed. If you didnt bring the right nail polish lets say. Thump off with his head!
Particularly bad time to be a peasent and such.
Now lets look at the Roman Empire in Rome at the Time we had Ceasar and Anthony, a couple of broads Cleopatra and what was that Biatches name oh ya Helen of Troy. Man I would of slapped that little floosy if she was my daughter.
Man all that trouble cause she was floozying around with the Prince of Greece and allof a sudden you have this frickin horse thing out at your door. Well Come on A horse!
I would have thought oh hey look what the niebhoors brought for little Timmys birthday!
and then BOOM, they all crawl out of the frickin thing and capture your city.
I TELL you something !

Do all religions reach the same goal?
It may be popular to say that all religions are one. It pleases all and offends none; it permits everything and does not include a cross. But, is this the truth?
Ancient scriptures of the world do not say that all `ways' lead to salvation or moksha. Religions differ in philosophy and ethics. They vary in concepts such as God, man, world, salvation, life, death, and life after death. Religious worship differs; some worship fire, others water and yet others worship spirits. Some glorify self and others renounce it. Even the deities differ. How then can all religions mean the same thing?
What is the result of their differences? In many countries people suffer on account of their religious convictions and some have even been martyred. In some instances families persecute their members who embrace other religious faiths. But, if all religions lead to the same goal, why do these things happen?
It is clear that all religions cannot be the same. Why then do people persist in saying that all religions are good and lead to one place? Could it be because this idea would kill the spirit of inquiry and analysis?
We live in a scientific age and no scientist dares to say that every theory is correct. Nor can we assert that all things are right and good. There is a way that is right and there is also a way that is wrong. The necessity to choose between them puts the onus on us to discover the truth.

Yeah, probably. There were a limited amount of people on the planet so, I would imagine they shared the same beliefs for awhile. Other religions got started because someone felt they didn't want to follow certain rules or whatever and made up their own. Religion is a good way to control mass amounts of people through fear. Not to say religion is bad, it's just the way some people use it.

Satan, satan, satan....you are at it again. Satan is the reason why we have so many denominations and religions in the world today. Satan is a master deceiver and confuser of all.
These religions DO NOT worship the same god. My God is a loving God, not a christian-jew hating terrorist.
Buddha is not my God, nor is he a god. I didn't live in a past life. My God spoke and formed me into existence when He placed His mighty Hand on my mother's womb. The life that I will live after this sinful world passes away is eternal peaceful life with God.
I think you watched that segment where our President said that he thinks we all serve the same god.
Sorry. Just because the President says it, it ain't so.

you comprehend, in those ol' western exhibits on television, a stranger might journey into city and locate the folk in worry. Then in in basic terms 30 minutes (minus categorized classified ads) he might magically remedy each and every person's problems by a technique or the different having extra perception and expertise approximately city than any of the voters who've lived there for generations. nicely, it quite is why they call it fiction. the fact is this could be a somewhat-moderated, loose, open communicate board on a gentle subject (faith). So mutually as attempting to offer up arguments ought to look like a heroic reason, it is quite fairly naive and doomed to fail.

How can the same diety have diffrent concepts and command to his followers. So Zues is the same as Allah and Thor. Satan must be the same aswell though christians will tell you he is a fallen angel. God couldnt even create Angels that where perfect we are doomed. There is no god and the religions are created as another poster has said. God has spoken to me and do as I inform you he says or you will be doomed to eternal pain oh and feed me and house me aswell please and I will talk to god again for you.
All religous people are con artists and the world cant see that.

All religion was at one point the same. Our ancestors worshiped a Mother Goddess, which was the Earth.
Over time, with the separation of nomad tribes, we began to form our own ideas based off of the Mother Goddess.
Today, people will fight saying their god is the true god. In a sense, they're right.
There is only One God. and She is what you make Her.
Any name, any face, any gender, we all worship the same god that our ancestors worship eons ago.

With all due respect, this is a rather simplistic (and incorrect) view of the history of religion.
The religions you cited here did not all simultaneously "break away" to do their own things. Rather, each one was "born" in a separate period of time, under separate conditions, and in some cases in separate parts of the world.
They were never "all one religion" as such, but they all sprang from the One Eternal Creator, only over time...not simultaneously.
