Senthil is a popular Tamil name. According to this site I found, it means Lord Murugan.
Also known as Kartikeyan, Kumaran, or Subramanian. He is the God of war and the patron deity of the Tamil land.

It is a name basically from southern origin that is chennai.It is also another name of Kartikeshwar(Murugan) son of Shiv and parvati.
