Would he just ask you out if he was interested, or would asking him break the ice? Does it usually scare them away? What do guys think of girls that ask guys out? What if it was an unofficial date? A group activity? What if you asked guys and girls? And feel free to tell me anything else you think I need to know. (on this subject and if it's appropriate, of course) Thanks!

An opinion from another generation. Ok, I'll put it this way, if I waited for my husband to ask me out, I'd still be waiting. Men are afraid of rejection and don't always make the first move. A lot of them are just as happy if they are asked the question first, but you have to know that there is interest on the other side. I started being brave when I was in college, I got tired of sitting by the phone hoping that "he" would call. It worked out well in that situation. I've done it since, and sometimes it's good, and sometimes I've been sorry I made the move. You have nothing to lose, but maybe feel a bit rejected, but either way you know. Isn't that a better way to be. You can ask him out for a group activity, if you think that would work better, but you risk him thinking you just want to be friends.

BY ALL FRIGGEN MEANS ASK A GUY OUT!!!!

Sorry about that.

You have no idea how much pressure you take off guys when you ask them out. The problem is were conditioned to believe that women are just there for the picking and men are there for the hunting. Although that may be common, thats not true by the slightest. Youre not princesses and no man should be at your feet kissing them or slaying dragons for attention. It should be 50-50. I always take a special intrest in girls who ask me out even if I dont find them attractive at all. It makes me realize that we have women who truly have confidence and are willing to take a risk. Something you women typically expect of us everyday. Theres no better way to break the ice.

Chivalry is a dying institution.

He may be shy or may be afraid of rejection.

If a girl ask a guy out, it wont scare the guy away if he's interested. Well there was this incident where this girl asked me out to dinner and I rejected numerous times because she was a known phsyco.

So asking someone out for drinks, or a simple get together is fine, it would probably make the guy feel better. One less thing he has to do.

Definately, most men are insecure and would love the help breaking the ice. Men don't get used to rejection and it is an uncomfortable feeling to say the least. Girls don't get rejected as much as men when it comes to dating. As far as scaring him away...he would have to be truely unconfident in himself but if you really liked him then a group setting would definately be the way to go. I personally think its sexy as hell to have women ask men out. It not only shows interest by it shows your self confidence and thats sexy.

Of course it's ok for a girl to ask a guy out! Some guys would rather ask you because it makes them feel more manly..or whatever. But some are shy and would appreciate it. Just do what you're comfortable with.

A group activity is an excellent way to "ask a guy out" for the first time. A group of you to go bowling, swimming, to a movie, etc. is fun and less "threatening" for guys. Have fun!

Everyone is different I like it when a woman takes the initiative and asks first. It shows she has confidence and isn't afraid to go after what she wants both of which are very sexy. Sometimes women are not as obvious as they think they are and the guy never fully gets a green light from her, or dude could just be shy I say go for it.

I think as a woman it is just fine for a girl to ask a guy out. In fact, I think it shows maturity. What is wrong with a woman going after the guy these days?

Sure. I say if you like the guy go ahead. There are no official rules to go by. If you feel more comfortable, then invite him and others to do something in a group setting, maybe he will open up more - less pressure on both of you. See what happens.

As a guy, I can tell you that there's no greater flattery or turn on than being asked out. He is a very lucky guy if you ask him out.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you asking him out.
