I am trying to download some mp3s from Limewire, but everytime it tries to download it says "connecting" then "needs more sources"......the files I'm trying to download have over 100 people sharing them and they are 4-star rated.
My internet connection works just fine so it can't be that.

limewire is full of viruses get rid of it and get ares its free easy to use and virus free. i only use ares and have not had a problem with it good luck

I don't think it died, I just think it sucks sometime...and it's sucking most of the time.
Try soulseek. It's also free like limewire but it's a LOT better once you learn to use it. You can download an entire album! not you don't have to look for an album by searching from song to song. soulseek also has a BIG community. When you open the program, it has about 20 to 30 chat rooms open all the time.
go over to soulseek.org and download their program. run the program. search for a song or album title. Click on "K/s" (kilobytes per second) so the songs with the highest kilobytes per second are at the top in order of fastest, that way you go down the list looking for the song you want and you pick the one that would download the quickest. When you find the song you want, you then right click on it and left click on "Browse's users files". Then you could look at the folders that person has. Find the album you want and download the whole folder.
you have to use it a few times the get the hang of it. Then you won't go back to Limewire.

Earlier today, CNN announced that Limewire had indeed died. Apparently it was from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the temple. A note was left behind. Police revealed the note read: "I am the father of Anna Nicole's baby, and I can't raise her myself, since I am an illegal download site. I hereby give my child to Brangelina to adopt. Signed, Limewire" There will be no formal funeral service since Limewire wishes to be burned, exactly like its music CD's.

Well for one Limewire is NO GOOD!!! DELETE IT before you get a virus...

Mine still works, I had that problem I had to uninstall and reinstall. ( it could be a setting check those first.).
