My own vet recommends 6 months. He says, for males, to call for an appointment as soon as he lifts his leg to pee, or 6 months, whichever comes first.

You can actually have your puppies neutered at any age, but when they're less than four months old it's considered a pediatric operation, and may be a little more expensive.
I would recommend getting them neutered at the age of four months. I think it's the ideal time for neutering. If you get them neutered before they reach sexual maturity, it will help to prevent a lot of behavior problems, and some medical problems as well.
Some might say to wait until they lift their leg to urinate -- but this is just a matter of preference. Some people seem to prefer that their dog learns to urine mark before being neutered, but there's actually no real benefit to this. It's just as easy that your puppy not learn how to mark things.
Good for you for getting your dogs neutered! It's a responsible thing to do, since you won't be adding to the huge dog overpopulation in the world. It also means your dogs will be happier and healthier for it.

They do it as young as 6 weeks for puppies that are up for adoption. I think that's too young, when we adopted our latest dog after being neutered that young, she ended up developing a urinary tract infection. There was no proof that this was the cause, but our vet said it could have been. I would wait at least 3 to 4 months. Don't believe it when people tell you that will settle them down if they are hyper, that's a myth most of the time.

I think most vets like to wait until the puppy is 6 months old. Although some will do it earlier, I wouldn't have it done any younger than 4 months.

Some vets do early spay/neuter surgeries but I think generally, it's around six months of age.

If I recall correctly... They should be able to be neutered at the age of 3 months. I wouldn't wait any longer because the longer you wait to get them fixed, the more problems you're going to have down the road.

at six months they tend to bounce back much quicker, be more easily distracted from the pain, and less prone to depression (which my dog had after being fixed at 2 years old)

You could always get your puppies neutered by the time their testicles are fully descended. Better still, if you neuter them before they start learning how to lift their legs up & pee. I always preferred if males pee like females. At least you know, they won't do it on your couch or walls. You can neuter males anytime unlike females, they can only be spayed once they reach 2 years old.
