Where in the Bible does it say anything is to be tolerated?
What is the use in tolerance? Did God tolerate His own chosen people when they rebelled against Him? No way!
Did Jesus tolerate the money changers in the Temple? No He drove them out with a whip.
Did God tolerate David's adultery? No, He took his first born as punishment, and the only one in the Bible it was said of that He was a friend of God, was David. God still didn't tolerate disobedience.
There are a lot of things I will NOT tolerate and the first on the list is stupidity

Well, I have always had a problem with the word "tolerance" Tolerance, in my mind, send the message of superiority. Almost a "my way is right, but I will tolerate other people's views, even though they are wrong" kind of mentality.
I think I am religiously apathetic. I do my thing, and am not really worried about what others are doing. Now, when someone else crossed the line of trying to convert me, I will defend my beliefs. But, for the most part, "live and let live" is how "I live".

Obviously some people who know nothing about religion. The same could be said about laws, etc... Anything that is interpreted by people can be used as a tool by people for their benefit. Religious or not how can you not agree with the 10 Commandments?
1. Don't steal
2. Don't kill
3. Don't lust after anothers husband or wife
4. Don't commit adultery
etc..

Religion in the general sense (beginning with people who believe in a holy stick, stone, sun, etc., and onward) doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with tolerance.
Religion has to do with a belief about the supernatural, the creation of our "world", etc. Saying that religions are supposed to be tolerate doesn't fit in with the human need for religion or the history of religion.
If you want to speak about specific religions then do that, but none I know of really ask for tolerance of beliefs opposite to their own.

Don't know what you mean by tolerance in religion. Religion means different things to different people. People who are Christians are (or should be tolerant). A Christian is someone who has given their life to serve God and have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Certainly, we as Christians make mistakes, but our goal on a daily basis is to be the best person that we can be. To me that means never judging people and showing love even to the unlovely.

The True God of the Bible has no tolerance or use for religion either, but His patience for His creation is beyond our comprehension. Religion is man made and only satisfies the ungodly sects and false faiths in a spiritual deity of their understanding. Pagan ritual worship and doctrines only satisfies the wicked souls of those who are blind to the truth and live their lives unwittingly for the devil, their father......... There is no use for religion.........but there is only one way to the Father in the Kingdom of heaven.........though Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Both tolerance and intolerance are human, a religion or philosophy can only encourage it, command it etc. but it cannot make it happen. Most religions have good teachings, any problem you see is not the religion but the human element . You can know what TO DO AND NOT DO IT. That is exactly what Christianity teaches as well. First it teaches clearly and expressly tolerance, in fact this Christian teaching is really the foundation of todays twisted sick tolerance of every perversion. Then it teaches that humans are imperfect sinners, disobedient, unholy, selfish, prone to argument and unspiritual. Today the teaching of the true and original holy tolerance, based on holy mercy and faith in God, has been hijacked by cultural leaders, separated from its root, turned into a license to transgress, and to do all manner of perversion and lewdness and then call for "tolerance". Tolerance today is not really a good tolerance but a perversion of it used by perverts who mainly want license to do their sins without any consequence or censure, and who having lost all conscience are no longer able to feel guilty. The scripture also says faith without works is dead. But really why don't you be honest , brave and respectable by speaking clearly of the religion you mean, Islam. Why are people so weak and dishonest as to lump all religions together in order to criticise one? People have been so brainwashed to be "tolerant" according to the modern perverted twisted kind that they can see no evil in **** but find the 10 commandments offensive and dangerous. They betray one another, wives betraying husbands, husbands betraying wives, both betray themselves, their obligations and their kids and yet these 'tolerant' ones see nothing wrong with those things but see wrong in any things that dares call us back towards fidelity, that is now the new evil. Anything that calls for decency is now considered wrong and what is wrong is right . To go along with this we have a bunch of people who call nothing , even the most base despicable things wrong, but who see evil in only killing. Bceause being dead is the only thing they fear that will separate them from their pleasures and sensual existence, like animals. Do they have no keener sense of morality than that? Is everything to be permitted execept goodness, law, order, decency, family values, getting angry that your kids are being virtually molested and sexualised, and killing? Is the only law now, that there is no law. Why is that? Because sinners don't want to die and yet they have a sense of constant punishment and fear of death hanging over them due to their disobedience and guilt and they don't want any body telling them what to do, they want to tell you what to do, and they want to be left alone to seduce your kids, they don't want any angry parents who love their kids getting in their way. But that is what we need , angry parents, lots of them, not more perverted tolerance of sodom and gomorah.
We need anger to save this country.

You're talking in absolutes...
I'm sure your fellow atheists won't be pleased.
The LDS(moromon) 11th Article of Faith.
We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
If it existed It's use is to bring partial truth to those who will hear it.

"Faith is essentially intolerant ... essentially because necessarily bound up with faith is the illusion that one's cause is also God's cause." -- Ludwig Feuerbach
Where does that leave religion and tolerance, except for...
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful." -- Seneca
You must be a ruler! But this is truly sad, if it's the only use.
