My aunt sent my mom and I both a magnetic wrist band. She said it helps for arthritis, fybromyalgia, stress and fatigue. Has anyone used these before? Do they really work?

Like placebo's and mild self-hypnosis.

If you THINK it will work, you can fool yourself into believing it IS working.

The mind is a weird thing.

When I was 7, my mom bought me one from a national park store. the lady at the counter said it keeps your heart energetic, and supposedly relieves stress. I didn't really believe it, but my mother told me that it alligns your blood cells so your blood flows at ease. As we have some metal-ish minerals in our bloodstream, it is probably true. After wearing the bracelet for a week, I felt normal, but more energetic than usual. I guess all magnetic jewelry does is allign your bloodcells, which can help reduce certain health risks. I am not sure of this, however.

the magnets are supposed to cause an increase of ion transfer to the body, by ionizing things youare giving them energy, the idea is to give the body/blood energy not normally present, but for some people it is a placebo effect. If you believe it will work or you want it to work badly enough, then it will

They cause heart to race. A relative of mine was wearing a magnetic necklace. He got a mild heart attack, MI in technical terms, after 2 months. he stopped using the necklace thereafter.

Alot of people swear by them but I haven't read any factual information as to their veracity. It's 50/50 when I asked those people actually wearing them.
