Well, it sounds as though you are reacting adversely to some foods that you are eating. Food intolerances, systemic candida, irritable bowel syndrome and Inflammatory bowel diseases are just a few reasons you might respond to foods like this. And it can take up to a day or longer for some reactions to foods to be manifest, depending upon how fast your digestive system operates etc, so the fact that you have not always just eaten does not matter.

Eating too much of certain foods can also cause irritation, and a good place to start is by varying your diet - try to cut out really processed food and too much red meat. Dairy and soy also cause this kind of bloating in people who are intolerant to them.

If you also have diarrhea or diarrhea and constipation I would definitely recommend seeing your doctor as you might have inflammatory bowel disease.

Basically if I were you I would try and rule out certain food intolerances by seeing a food allergy specialist, who will be able to order some blood tests for you and give you information on elimination and challenge diets. This is where you cut out a food, say dairy, for about three weeks and then reintroduce it. If you get bad symptoms within the next three days then dairy is your culprit.

A visit to a doctor can also allow them to talk to you about irritable and inflammatory bowel.

If all of those draw a blank, then maybe consult a naturopath about such potential problems as systemic candida.

If you eat proteins with carbs you will bloat up. This is because carbs digest fast, while proteins sustain the energy. They battle eachother causing bloating and gas. It is good to eat your carbs (fruits, pasta, bread, etc) a half hour before the proteins to allow them to properly digest. You could also be dehydrated sometimes which makes you retain water and bloat up. Drink more water to fix this.
