the first thing you need to do is ask yourself why...then think... if you were a parent and your child did what ever it is that you did to be grounded would you, as the parent, do the same? if not... what is your solution? give your mom a week, talk to her after a week... don't complain... try not to argue your case... after a week ask her to sit down with you and re-evaluate the situation... think like an adult... its not the end of the world... if you put it in perspective... this is really just a very short time in your life... you have a lot of living ahead of you... good luck

Wow, things must have changed alot since I was a kid. When I was grounded that meant no tv, no phone, NO COMPUTER, no anything fun. Yet, if you're on the computer how bad could 9 weeks of grounding really be?

learn the art of sucking up. i used to broker deals with my parents. now i do it with my kids. after they are grounded, for say, a week, they can earn time off with good behavior (helping with housework, good grades, etc.). however, they also get days added for repeating their previous behavior. good luck

Respect her even if you disagree. Take this time to further your education. Perhaps learn how to spell grounding.
