Everytime I come home from volleyball practice I'm 2-3 pounds lighter. But then I eat dinner and I gain it all back..

Is this normal?

The body doesn't work that way.

What you gain or lose by eating and exercising this week shows up on the scale next week.

You're probably weighing yourself with no clothes after you shower, and with clothes after your eat.

Weigh yourself once a week.

yes, I go to the gym daily and am about 4-5 lbs lighter each time I come home, but eating [even an apple] brings it all back. Don't worry nothing is wrong with you. This is simply the reason why you should weigh yourself in the morning. So nothing can 'alter' your reading.

Yes, it is normal. This is your body losing water. Make sure you keep yourself hydrated while you practice. And eat a light dinner, don't lay down afterwards...

Yes, it is very normal! but for every pound you lose, drink 2 cups of water to replace it so that you don't get dehyrated!

what you most likely lost was just water from your body. that is the reason for the pounds shed.

It's water weight, and it goes down when you sweat (or urinate) and goes up when you drink (or eat.)
