We just got back from a 2-week honeymoon in New Zealand. We took a "camper van" around, so we saw it like the Kiwis do! The people are super friendly, the food is great, and the scenery is unmatched. It's about as big as Colorado in total area, but the variety of landscape is so much more. They don't have the red tape we do in the US, and the active outdoor opportunities are unmatched (and safe!). The professionalism in the tourism industry is amazing.
Put it this way--we're going back in a year, and we're seriously considering moving there someday!

i met my husband who is a kiwi (i'm an american). I relocated to NZ 2 years ago. Most likely the best decision I ever made (aside from getting hitched :))
I love it here from the laidback "no worries" attitude to the beautiful sceneries surrounding us to the wonderful mix of people to their health care system. Am very happy. For a country this size, and the advanced level they are-comparable to any other Western industrialized country-Kudos !
Oh i forgot also to their awesome rugby teams!! Go All Blacks!!

I have been five times to NZ and everytime I go I like it more. I love the outdoors but I would say the chilled, relaxed atmosphere is the best part... you just feel you are not in planet earth anymore. Kiwis are truly friendly as if all of them had "farmers hearts" ;)

I spent 30 years in Nelson, NZ, moved there when i was 1, back in Aussie now :-)
