why do some people believe Mother earth created God?

Why do some people believe Mother Earth created God, I don't understand how that is possible. How can Mother Earth even be the one to create us all? I am confuessed.

Just another misunderstanding. Mother earth is an expansion of God. She is an espansion of teh material energy (mother nature) No one is before God no one Created God that is what makes Him God. We are all part and parcel of God. We all have the same qualities of Him but not in the same quantity. Like a drop of water has all the qualities of the ocean but the drop never becomes the whole ocean.

Because some people will believe anything. However, Mother Earth is not necessarily the planet you're standing in right now. She may be the spirit of the totality of all humanity, and even all of what we call "Life" on the planet. Under those circumstances, the belief has some merit.
