it has been said that crocop was sent to the ufc by pride(see Trojan horse) officials to win the ufc heavyweight belt and return to pride to face fedor. this fight would would not only be a unification match but a means for pride to invade the mma market in the united states eventually surpassing and merging ufc talent into the Pride fighting championships.

It would make me sad to see it, but I think it will be Mirko Cro Cop. Not that Cro Cop doesn't deserve a shot at the belt, but I was just so inspired by Randy's recent win over Tim Sylvia that I would like to see him hang on to the belt for a long time.

Chuck is busy defending the Light Heavyweight Championship, so I cannot think of anyone who can right now. Even Chuck would have a harder time this time around because unlike last two times, Randy's head is in the game. He was going through a bitter divorce during their last two fights.

The best fighter in the division by far. If he doesn't get the next shot at the title, he'll beat whoever has it when he does.
If for some strange reason CroCop doesn't get a title shot, I'd bet on Chuck stepping up a weight class and taking a second title.

Mirko is taking the belt. Probably in Randy's next fight. All props in the world to Randy, but I really don't think he can beat Crocop.

I was going to make a lame joke about captain america as I did when I was trolling the comic board the day they killed him off hit the papers telling them that couture was actually alive and well and just defeated sylvia, but it just isn't funny....

im thinking that arlovski is going to be the next one to fight him... if he wins his next fight at UFC 70 i think he has a good shot at fighting for the title
