Some restaurants offer "corkage" service, which allows customers to bring wine in from outside. Others do not allow this. You will need to call the restaurant ahead of time to check their policy. If they do allow it, they can tell you what the fee is.

Keep in mind that not all restaurants are licensed to serve alcohol. If this restaurant does not have a license, then they will not allow you to bring the wine in.

Around here, there are several restaurants which allow outside wine, which the waiter will open and serve for you. The corkage fees range from about $15 to $30 per bottle. Depending on the wine you're bringing to such restaurants, it may be just as cost effective to order from their list.

In Montreal, there are quite a number of restaurants that allow you to bring your own wine and they will open and serve that wine for you without a corkage fee. I have not come across this in any other North American city (except in Chinatown and then only if you're a regular customer).

I hope things work out. Cheers!

That is very Australian, they do that there and charge a corkage fee. If you call this restaraunt and discuss it with the management, however if they do not serve wine they probably do not have a liquor license which means they are not allowed to have it on the premises.

Call the restaurant and ask them. Prices change in each restaurant. i don't know what state you are in in the country but you should be allowed to bring your own wine.

it is called corkage fee, but if the resto don't really serve wines then they can waive this fee off, so tipping is in order. estimate would be half the bottle cost. please inform the establishment ahead so they can have the ice bath, glasses and decanter ready
