I need to see if I can legally launch a model rocket at a local park

Fireworks usually fall under city ordinances. If you post where you live, I'll post the info you need. By the way, please don't call 911 and ask. It actually is supposed to be for emergencies only.

Any laws regarding your rocket would be local. Check with the park itself, but they probably won't allow it. I don't know what part of the country you're in, but you'll probably have to find someplace more desolate than a local park

That may fall under fireworks laws.
But call 911 they would know the laws!
