How do you know if a guy might be interested in taking online chatting to the next level and how would you go about doing it?

well if he seems always to want to talk to you about "private" stuff, then he's into you maybe a little bit at least. just ask him if he wants to...what's the worst he could do? say no, that's what. in that case, just say that your friend said that he did or something like that.

Ask him what he wants. If you both want to meet then make it someplace public. If you don't live in the same state then meet each other 1\2 way. I did that, I live in Wisconsin & the guy lives in Hawaii & so we met in Las Vegas. Everything worked out very well with us. Had fun & got to know each other. Tho for us we will stay bestfriends & see each other every 6 months when he has time off work. Not everyone online is crazy, but just to be on the safe side that is why you don't go to his house or have him go to yours. Good luck.

Having a strong self preservation instinct and a modicum of self esteem I would not consider it. Have you not read the papers are you socially unaware. The possibility that things will work out well are extremely slim. Get a life and quit trying to establish emotional relationships with people on line.

I hope you mean just meeting and talking in person.....ALWAYS arrange the first meeting in a public place. After that, you will get to know him better and see what happens, just like any person you would normally meet.
