Battle of the left hookers, who would've won in their primes?

Wow, this would have been a great fight! They both came to fight, both had big punches and neither one had a great chin.
On one hand, Cooney gave a great fight to a prime Holmes and lasted 13 rounds against a top ten all time heavyweight.
On the other side, Morrison easily outboxed Foreman who went on to KO Moorer in his next fight, showing fair skills and speed.
The undefeated Cooney would probably win this fight but after the Holmes loss he turned a bit too hard to drink and Morrison would have outlasted him.

Not a bad match up, but the blogbaba never has been a Cooney fan. Morrison would walk through a trumped up pretender.

it is a toss up. i'd say the Cooney that fought Larry Holmes may win this. Cooney replaced into in over his head with a primed Holmes in spite of the undeniable fact that he fought a sturdy wrestle for the barriers he had. this would not bypass the gap. Morrison best win replaced into over George Foreman and he fought wise prevented slugging and became boxer therefore he received a 12 round decision.Cooney at his best by ability of knockout.

I'll say Cooney. He was 6'5'', and formidable-could hit like h---. Only a still in his prime Larry Holmes could beat him, and Cooney was too inexperienced to have been fighting Larry at that time anyway. Tommy has heart, but not CHIN-one good Cooney hook would have brought that out.
