I'm having thoughts about joining a particualt organization.First one of the members she goes by sexy something, and I went to go meet the members for a meeting, anf she says "I'm going to be the only sexy one here" and then there was another time where she came up to me and asked "How come I'm always mopping when she see me" Then there was another case where we ran into each other and I smiled and said Hi and she told me she likes me after I told some funny joke, and she told me to wipe that smile off my face because she is not my friend..so I should keep that in mind..I had glanced at another member and she yelled" What are you staring at" and I'm like damn.plus there was other girls there that told me that took their hats off to me , because of the fact that I still was trying to become a member..but I got accepted and declined..but now I want to join a different sorority, but everyone says don't do it because I submitted an application to tthe first sorority..

the second soroity members are nice welcoming,..and I've read up on their history and am definelty intrested..should I pursue this do you think...considering their might be backlash..

You should rethink the whole idea of joining a sorority! Sorority chicks tend to be stupid, narromw minded, judgemental, catty, slutty and petty.
This is ESPECIALLY true of Alpha Kappa Alphas (I've known lots of AKA's and I have yet to meet one who was nice, intelligent or truly educated!)
You should focus on actually trying to learn something in college, rather than hanging out with a bunch of druken slutty chicks who get off on belonging to a private club where they get to keep out girls that they don't like!
Sororities (and fraternaties) are like gangs for educated people!

I'd say go ahead and try for the second sorority if that's what you want. Screw what everyone else is telling you. The first sorority would obviously make you miserable in the long run with miss "sexy" in the picture.
I'm not sure how sororities work, not the detail, but if you can, just pull the first application and tell them you're not interested. If you can't pull it, just tell them you're not interested. Either way, maybe you can talk to some of the girls at the second sorority, explain your feelings, and see what they say.

You should do what you want to. If you'd be happy joining the first sorority and showing this 'miss sexy' that she's not the only one who can, work on that. If you think you'd be happier in a friendly environment, with nobody treating you like dirt, do the other. It's your choice.

Forget about trying to be a member where this behavior is allowed. Do you really want to belong to a group of people that are so thoughtless of others? It doesn't sound like such a great group to me! Find some other people to hang out with!
