The guy I like is really quiet and shy, but really nice and funny. Whenever I try to flirt he kind of mumbles and blushes a lot. Does anyone have any tips for how to get him to open up and talk more?

Funny, I understand your dilemma. However, there's only one way to make him warm up. Just keep talking to him. Flirt with him a little. Tease him a little. After a while, he'll be sure to warm up to you. Once he completely trusts you and gains confidence, you'll have him eating out of your palm. It works every time. Good luck to you.

I'm exactly like that! When I blush and mumble is when I'm talking to my crush. He probably has a crush on you too ;)
You should definitely find out what he's interested in and talk to him about it, ask questions and such. Then he'll grow more comfortable around you.

Just talk to him first and show him that you are there to listen instead of just flirting with him. Ask him questions because that way he might strike up a converstion.

get him alone not planned and kiss him and leave it he will let that shy person in him slide off cause he will know it's not just casual but a chance that he really wants but doesn't know how to ask most guys really have a shy part to them

just take it slow. if hes shy you shhould try talking to him first instead of flirting. once you guys get to knoweachother then you can start to strut your stuff.
