Why is it that everytime I clip my toenails they smell? My feet don't smell, and I don't have an infection or fungus or anything like that. Does anyone elses toenails do this?

when you are infront of a heater that is blowing air at you it is kind of hard not to smell them.

If you clean your toe nails regularly and also trim them often, there shouldn't normally be a smell emanating from them. It is possible that you don't wash your feet well while having a shower. If you wear thick socks or do a lot of running/walking, sweat tends to build up on your feet. Even if you change your socks daily but don't wash your feet daily (particularly the space between fingers) after you return home, your feet could smell. Check this out.

May I ask you why you are smelling your toenails??? Just clip them and throw them out!!! If something on your body has an odor it usually means you have in infection. Maybe your nails have a fungal infection. See a podiatrist or your own doctor for a quick check. But please stop smell them. Gross!

try checking to see if they smell like a dried/stale smelling version of your laundry soap.our skin and nails are porous...also,I have heard that a large amount of red meat in our diet can alter the oder of our waste materials.

That's your toe jam. If you clean under your toenails regularly, it won't stink.
