If you have the point value of beef or chicken base in your book, minus it off the 8 points for the noodles. It should be for around 2 tsp worth of the base. It might be called chicken stock as well, then it would be worth about 2 cups of stock.

I started using Maruchan ramen noodles as a late afternoon snack and need low sodium (high blood pressure) so I would throw out the seasoning (sodium full) packet and make my own1 1/4 cup broth to cook them in using 1/3 lemon juice, the rest added water, a packet of Herb-ox sodium-free chicken bouillon, some salt-free curry powder (premium brand not cheap as cheap contains salt), a bit of red curry powder (also salt free premium brand) and some red pepper flakes. When I started I didn't realize the brick was TWO servings meaning I was eating a 380 calorie snack when I thought it was only 190 so a little light went off in my head as I have packages of zero calorie shirataki noodles (I buy Konjac orzo or tiny pasta online) but never came up with a quick, easy, tasty way to serve them so now around noon I make my 1 1/4 cup broth with the same liquids but DOUBLE the seasonings and heat that through, rinse and drain the shirataki pasta well, add it to the broth and leave it to simmer on the stove until 20 min before I want to eat (4pm), then add the brick of ramen noodles, stirring well, and let stand for 10 - 15 min (stirring occasionally to blend) and only eat HALF reducing my snack to 190 calories. It is still VERY filling with the added -0- calorie shiratake noodles and I just refrigerate the remaining half for the next day. Really a very easy, filling, low calorie snack!!

I would skip the freeze dried noodles all together. Even without the flavor/sodium packet. If you must have Ramen try it with a little light soy sauce. About 150 calories and 9 grams of fat not quite worth it.

properly a boullion cube is the comparable because of the fact the flavour packet so in case you attempt to get wholesome pass that. There are categories and forms of ramen. some are greater wholesome, in step with hazard organic and organic or no MSG or all organic flavors etc. They fee greater yet they probably are not all that lots greater helpful for ya. you are able to cook the noodles in canned crimson meat inventory and use clean herbs or cheese or upload some vegetables, or use different non-salty spices. i like to spice them up Mexican style and upload black beans.
