A young girl was having a fight with her teacher about Jonah.
"It is impossible that Jonah was sallowed by a whale, whales have small throats", said the teacher.
"But whales are the biggest fish out there", answered the girl.
"But it is still impossible!" Replied the teacher.
"Well I'll just wait til I get to Heaven and ask him myself," said the girl.
"But happens if he went to hell?" Questioned the teacher.
"Then you can ask him!" Said the little girl.

That is harsh, and disrespectful of the girl and teacher both, and unbecoming of a Christian, and also unscientific in regards to the whale's attributes: some whales are indeed capable of swallowing humans whole, and the digestive fluids are found to be weak enough in some of those species to allow human survival for 3 days, the research has already been done.
The wisdom in the tale of Jonah is not so much those specifics, but that of the people of Nineveh worshiped fish idols, and if Jonah hadn't tried to escape teaching them, then God's proof of being more powerful than their assumed fish-god wouldn't be so profound, using even apparent disobedience to Himself in order to manifest evident transcendent power over all life.
The girl should have researched about whales herself, respected her teacher with Christ like love, and informed of the truth, then spoken, and the teacher, if not then educated and conceding, should be reprimanded, and/or counseled for being intolerant, and for teachings subjects they knew not, thru the schools authority.

There are actually TWO PARALLEL UNIVERSES. One is the reality to our senses, the other is a reality to our Spirit. In the second, rationale does not always valid, but faith! A lot of evidences can be observed that this SECOND UNIVERSE is present and operational, even influencing the FIRST UNIVERSE. The Bible can be considered as a messagerom the SECOND UNIVERSE to the first. The Teacher must understand that in the case of Jonah, there are not one, but TWO mysteries had happened: (1) How can Jonah survived the chemicals of the whale's belly? (2) Jonah could be swallowed through the small throat of the whale!
Those are teo happenings influenced by the SECOND UNIVERSE, un explainable by science. Have faith, teacher!
