I know you are not supposed too, and I defrost mine in the fridge, but my Grandmother always left it on the counter all day to defrost....I'm still alive lol

These days it's more and more risky, but yes, I probably would eat it...depending. I agree, it should be heated - thoroughly - in the oven, but I don't believe 2 minutes will come close to cutting it. More like 20 or so. A better way to use it would be to make soup out of it or something that will be sure that it is totally heated again. And if it were really hot, as someone mentioned, I'd not chance it and chalk the cost of the bird up to a lesson well learned.

Well the health department would tell you not to eat it, but I have defrosted a chicken in the sink overnight and cooked it the next day and nothing happened.

No, food should be in the fridge after 2 hours of being out...maybe three, depending on the food. Certainly not all day, and certainly not with chicken.

NO way it would be full of bacteria and you would become very ill food that is out of a controlled environment especially if it's previously been refrigerated should be consumed as soon as possible. Food should be thawed in the refrigerator not on the bench.

No I wouldn't and neither should you. The best room temperature for thawing is to leave the chicken in the lower unit of your refrigerator overnight.

Ask yourself if a restaurant left the food out all day would you eat it? I wouldn't eat it but nuked long enough it may kill the bacteria but then I would assume it would taste awful due to overcooking.

I've eaten a market rotisserie chicken that I forgot to put in the fridge. I didn't get sick, but I just ate the outer parts.

I would reheat it to above 190*F for at least 2 mins to make sure all the bacteria was killed off.
