they are real. The mind is the greatest computer in the universal and it's only equal is the soul/spirit which occupies the same vehicle.
You can not fathom the ability of these two entities, because we live in such a one-dimensional existence.

Hello, Just won:
I assume you are speaking of people that were near-death, saw heaven or hell, then revived to tell their experience. Sometimes they even claim to be told they must go back to their body.
Your subconscious tries to protect you from emotional trauma, so when you are near dying, or possibly under anesthesia, you hallucinate. I have had out of body experiences when I run a fever--seem to be floating above everything. Would hardly think it was supernatural.
One more thing, Just won, there has never been anyone registering brain-dead with an E.E.G. to come back and tell how wonderful it was in Gloryland. The Bible Says: "The dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten" (Eccl. 9:5).
Heaven is real, and the time is coming when all who sleep in the grave will be awakened for their reward, be it good or bad--that is talked about on my page: What Happens When Jesus Comes."
Blessings, One-Way

I dint know, but I'll tell you my story. I got into a horrible car accident some years ago and I was in a coma for 2 weeks. I think it was a dream or a hallucination, but I was in a room and my parents were there and they pulled out this bed and when they pulled the sheet back there i was dead. My mom fell to her knees and started crying, my dad got sick. The whole time I was watching this and all I could think of was I'm dead. It was so scary. I still remember how I felt and how awful it was to see my parents go through this. I still get chills from it. I'm just grateful I found the Lord and didn't die without ever knowing Him

There are two possibilities: real or hallucinations. Hallucination-near-death-experience can easily occur with those who used to abuse their consciousness, like using drugs, alcoholics, etc. Real experience may happen to those who used to keep themselves sober!

We need to be extremely careful in how we validate our experiences. The most important test of any experience is comparing it with the Bible. Satan is always ready to cause deception and twist people's thinking. "But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve," 2 Corinthians 11:14-15. Because the Bible is silent regarding near death experiences, and scientific research has not been able to be performed reliably, a great deal of prayer will need to be dedicated to a person's belief in near death experiences. I will not state that all near death experiences are faked, imagined, or Satanic - but I have strong concerns, Biblically, about the validity of most near death experiences

Ecclesiastes 9:5; "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all,..."
If they had an experience, they were still alive and were conscious of something. If they thought they had an after death experience, then they were only hallucinating.

That's a trick question. You are hallucinating when you see a chair as a chair, instead of a pattern swirling atoms.
So is a chair real? I'm not saying all claims are legitimate, but I am saying there's more much to life than the physical eyes can see.

I don't see how they could be hallucinations.. I was driving and about 2 seconds before my sister totaled her car with me in it i buckled my seatbelt. If i wouldnt have, the cops said i would have flew out the front window for sure and of the bridge overpass onto the highway. I consider that pretty near death!
