we are college students, and i am attracted to him, so i dont know if im just making this up in my imagination that he likes me too by opening up to me and telling me that sometimes he feels that he is a "god, a dog, the wind or sometimes just nothing" he was my classmate before and we did talk and he told me he stopped one year and just imprisoned himself in his room, because he cant meet his parents expectation, im too shy to really talk to him, but he smiles a lot when he sees me, and he stops talking to his friends when i pass by.
we have weird conversations, and i dont know he does not seem to forget every word that ive said before,
what could he be feeling

He sounds like he likes you, but he is even more shy than you are. If you're interested, you probably will have to make the first move. He seems very insecure--that sounds weird about him imprisoning himself in his room for a year.

There is a possibility that he feels something other than just friendship for you. Yet he seems to be quite a confused guy...and i think you'd better not talk to him about that right now...it's not easy i know but you should wait and see! Guys think differently and what we think about their actions is not always what they meant. So put yourself on the safe side and wait until he gives clearer signals about what he wants you two to be.

though its not very clear from ur explanation, i can say something. ur classmate is nothing exceptional. if i knew of what age he is, i could say more on him. any way, he finds a solace in u. in his depth he likes u very much and thats why he feels like a god (he may be considering u an angel)......
he is pessimistic and less confident in his attitude that he is unable to be frank to u, though he tries to pretends to be. be a best listner to him, if u love him, that u can change his attitudes and bring him to the front. i think you can make him your best friend.........for sure ........HE RESPECTS U.................which may possibly lead to................LOVE

I, like you, have wondered the same thing when girls do the same thing towards me.
honestly, i really dont know. My suggestion though is to flat out ask him to hang out one day...like get sum lunch or study, etc.
if he says no then u know he has no desire to hang out with you, therefore he probably does not like u.
