Most two door, two seat cars are sports cars and at your age there is no such thing as inexpensive insurance--especially with a sports car.

A 2 seater might fall under Sports Cars in some insurance companies. Anyway, a Saturn is a good car, cheap on insurance and almost looks like a sports car if it is a 2 door coupe. Rated fairly high on safety. We had one for about 5 years that 2 of my kids drove a lot. Cross country once.

I just bought my 17 year old son a Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe (2 door hardtop)... it was made on the same assembly line as a Mitsubishi Eclipse... has the same interior and same motor... the 200hp 3.0 V-6... he loves it... it's a really cool car and all his friends approve...and it costs him about $130 a month to insure... not bad for 17... but he has a clean record !!! Not a bad purchase for 5 grand... it's a 2001 and he's put about 2 grand in work in it already !!!
