I need some prayer about direction. It looks like I'm not going to be able to go on the short term missions trip to Jamacia this year. I need confirmation from the Lord that this is His plan and His direction. And if I'm supposed to do anything towards a different mission trip. Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate them more than words can say. And if you have any encouraging words, please share them too. Thanks again.

And this wouldn't be my first mission trip...I spent 8 1/2 years in a traveling Christian Drama Company and I've been on 2 short term trips to Guatemala and 1 to Ireland.

For those of you that had such negative answers. I'm looking for God's direction...to give him glory, not for my own edification or vacation. I truly want to do His will...and I will pray for you. For those of my fellow siblings in Christ...Thank you. I appreciate your answers.

Dear Lord Jesus, would you direct Jan, would you comfort her, would you show her Your will? I pray that you would be a light unto her feet, that you would light her next step- not the whole journey, but the next step- and that you would watch over her and keep her safe. Lead her to the place where she can best put her talents and giftings to use in your kingdom, where she can see the Kingdom of God advancing through her. Open doors for her that no man can shut Lord. Would you release her to greatness Lord? Expand the place of her tent!

I pray this in the Name of Jesus, Name above all names!

Lord bless you sis!

I like what Dylyla says.
My sweet sister in Christ. What a blessing you are to those who know the Lord.
I will pray for you & my Church supports a coulpe of missionaries. One who is based in the Philipines.
I will ask them to pray for you too. (we have a prayer night) Were only a small -( but a goodi) non-denominational Church.
You can never have enough people praying. That always brings me comfort & brings answeres. & I hope this will too. I have the feeling you may just be an intercessor? & perhaps fast as well.
We are all meant to pray for one another & feel what each
other goes through.
Jan Please read 3John! I hope this encourages you. When I was searching the Bible to find a sriture that may be of help to you, ...this small yet sinificant book stood out.
You always have an encouraging thing to say for others.
Yes you are being covered by pray, our sweet sister in Christ Jesus.

We'll pray for you. I hope God will bless you in your mission trips and show you the best way to be effective in His service. Wherever you are, you can be a missionary. You can be holy in whatever vocation or profession you choose. If you offer your work to God you can sanctify your work, you can sanctify the people around you and God will be pleased with you wherever you think you can serve Him well. If you pray, He can also show you the way. He may give you signs. Some signs may also be what you like to do the best. Your gifts are also a sign from God. God bless you and keep you safe.

If the LORD is truly closing the door on something that you were going to do it is for the best... to be in the center of GODS will is the safest and most peaceful place to be. Also if GOD closes one door it might be so he can open another.
I will pray the prayer of agreement with you that the LORD will show you in some way what you are to do. Remember James 1:5- If anyone lacks wisdom, let them ask of GOD who gives to all people and upbraideth not . And also think on Phil 4:6-7.
~GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU INTO HIS PERFECT WILL FOR YOUR LIFE IN JESUS NAME
ALLELUIA AND PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!~

I sure will pray for you. Your not being able to go may be the Lord's answer, sounds as if He has some other plans for you. Pray for guidance and I will do the same. God Bless

A friend of mine is supposed to be going on a missions trip with me to Ecuador this summer. Shes is 19 years old yet her mother will not let her go. She knows its God's will for her to go but she can't seem to find the way to make that happen without her mother's support. I'm gonna tell you the same thing i told her...If you keep praying and reaize that it is God's will then i promise you he will make a way.

God always reveals things to us as we are meant to know them. He won't leave you wondering around, unsure of what path to take ... and I'm sure that he certainly wouldn't leave a willing child like you unused. Not many of us are willing to jump on planes and take time out of our lives for mission trips.

I will definitely be praying for you! God Bless! <><

I will pray that you realize that you are doing God's will where ever you are, and that you will always be this anxious to serve him!

Good luck & God Bless

P.S. maybe this is his way of showing he needs you here right now.

Sorry it took me so long to answer Jan.....I got your e-mail.

I will most certainly pray for you that the Lord will giude you on this. We know that He is in control of everything.....whether good or bad. (Romans 8:28-39)

If it's meant to be....He will open the proper doors for you. But if not....don't try to force open a closed door.
