I dream we are changing -evolving and becomming a people who seek to heal ourselves and others through educated understanding, acceptance and love. I feel we are all one, and to harm you is to harm me...to heal you is to heal me, to love you is to love me.
When differences arise, are we yet ready? Can we give, even without the returns of recognition? I believe we are.

I admire your point of view and this is a refreshing and interesting question. You are asking am I motivated to do something nice for someone that I don't particularly like. It is understandable I wouldn't want to take credit for it since it is a given the person bugs me. I truly understand your question and I think thoughts like that can actually open a window to a paradigm shift that is long overdue.

Sure, why not, I'll do it.

Reminds me of the time some people in the car in front of us paid our bridge toll, for no reason whatsoever. Made my day (as I'm sure those people in front knew it would).

I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to make them happy, nor would I attempt to antagonize them.

On the other hand, if that person was truly in need of help (lost a family member, home lost to fire, etc.), I would offer assistance...openly. It's not a matter of pride or recognition; its a matter of respect and compassion.

I was always raised that if a person is mean to you, you should kill them with kindness. So, I have a bully in my life now, and I am really trying to get along with her and be nice to her(Even though its hard too) To answer your question, I think we are ready to be nice and I think the world would be better if we were

Umm...no. If someone bugs me, I ignore them. It's better to take yourself out of a situation that irritates you. Life is too short. If that's selfish, oh well. I don't bug people. It's a fairly easy thing to do so I expect others to do the same.

Sure I would. I only partially agree with your second statement, though. I believe that there are some heading in the direction you describe, however there is a whole other group that is heading in the total opposite direction.

It depends on the person. There are those who are ready to arise to that level. But there are still people who just want to cause pain just because they can!!!

Not if they truly bugged me. And just from where do I derive the power to make this person 'truly happy'? Sounds to me like empty posturing. Am I making you truly happy right now? I wouldn't doubt it.
