I went to one with my wife a couple of months ago. You check out handguns, rifles, shotguns, etc. Many shows also have knife, sword, and AirSoft dealers. Shoot the s**t with other gun enthusiasts and dealers. You can get a safety certificate at many shows, and some shows have seminars and informational sessions.

Its a place where you buy or sell guns and knifes. Stabshop has a good point too. I wouldn't get anything else there besides guns, knifes, ammo, and military stuff because all of the other stuff is knock offs. They also sell Military items like helmets, boots, uniforms, and etc. People don't really talk about guns that much because you are there to buy, not to talk. You might talk a little but like if you were at a flea market but you wouldn't have a huge conversation on a M1 Garand or about the German Luger. There are many good deals there too so have fun!

He goes for the same reason you go to a large mall. To shop a little, browse a lot, and check out the people.
The big ones usually have some food (hotdogs and sodas) and there are usually some other non-gun booths selling knifes, supplies, camo, etc.
Unless you are really anti-gun or anti-hunting, it might be fun to go.
Here's my advice
1) It is nice for wife to show interest in her husband's interests and go with him
2) However, don't ruin the show for him by going, complaining about not liking it, and pestering him so that he leaves early. Expect to spend a couple hours or more.
3) Make sure he actually wants you to go. It might be his time to get away for a while.

People see, talk to other people, sell, trade or sometimes buy guns, ammunition and other hunting/camping supplies. There is a lot to see at the bigger gun shows. Usually there also is food you can buy. If you are into guns, camping or general outdoors sports you will have fun.

Depends on the show........ Some are strictly guns, ammo, and hunting gear. Others are everything from guns to camping gear and military memorabilia. Generally a lot of fun, great chance to meet other shooters, be prepared for a crowd.

Most gun shows have tons of non-gun related stuff too. Such as Jerky, Dolls, Purses, clothes, and a myriad of other gadgets. Gun shows, they're not just for guys anymore.

There are usually other vendors at gun shows besides just guns. A decent size show will have food vendors and jewelry vendors. And maybe others. Just tell your husband he can get any firearm he wants as long as you get jewelry of equal value.
