2) If you have status in Canada (citizenship or permanent residency) then what country are you wanting information about Visa's for?

You have to satisfy the visa issuing officer that you will come back and have enough fund to survive in that country or have some financial support available.

if you are referring to an American visitors visa apply at http://www.nvars.com. they will tell you exactly what you need to do depending on the province you live it may take a few weeks to get an appointment good luck
