Sounds like you're on the right track. The only way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you burn.

To lose weight, experts agree you need to exercise for at least 30 minutes at 60%-70% of your Max Heart Rate (MHR). A simple way to calculate MHR is 220 minus your age. So if you’re 45 years old, for example, your MHR would be 220-45=175. 60% of 175 is 105, and 70% of 175 is 122.5. So you should exercise daily for 30 minutes at a heart rate between 105 and 123.

You don’t need additional equipment—infomercial products like the Ab Lounger, Sauna Belt, etc. are all worthless gimmicks so don’t waste your money.

Eat breakfast, and eat five small meals per day instead of three big meals. On the other hand, if you don't wake up ravenous, then you ate too much the day before. Stop eating at least two hours before you go to bed. Cut back on the foods you eat with high fat and high sugar content. Eat only single servings (read the label) with less than 3 grams trans fat and 3 grams sugars. Become familiar with websites like http://chubbyloser.com that contain good information on what to eat, including supplements.

Don't consume alcohol—alcohol is nothing more than empty calories with no nutritional value. Some people will argue that alcohol has some health benefits when consumed in moderation—I’m not debating that—but we’re talking about weight loss here. Lay off the booze if you want to lose the belly.

Drink lots of water, then drink more. Not tea, not Gatorade, not milk. Water. If your urine isn’t almost clear, you need to drink more water.

Woof.

No more fast foods and soda will always help! However, be careful with cutting your dietary intake in half. Your body needs to get enough nutrition to live on. Weight watchers has a really good healthy way to diet that has been approved by many doctors.

Better to get there slower and healthily than quickly and without your health at the finish line.

To be certain you are not self harming on a fad diet, consult with your doctor before dieting.

Even with the most intense work-outs you take one day off. You need a day to recover...

Many people to stay consistent also have one day a week when they eat what ever they want, it makes their diet a little easier to stick too...

I would also add a sculpting day and a pilates or yoga day... Power Yoga is hard and can really gets you sweating and really builds lean muscle while stretching out sore muscles and gaining flexibility.

Take a multi-vitamin, everyone needs one, everyone should take one, you might already be on one. Make sure the food you feed yourself is good fuel that will give you energy, think real food not processed.
Its amazing when you eat healthy for the good of your body the more energy you have to do those work-outs...
Make sure you eat enough food otherwise its like driving a car with not enough gas in it so no crash starvation diet or when you do intense cardio you will whack out your blood sugar levels.

Everyone knows lots of water too...

That's all the knowledge I have....*lol*

Best of luck, you can do it

You will probably notice when you get on the scale that your weight is the same or even a few pounds more. Not to fret though because muscle weighs more than fat. Don't let the psychology of the scale fool you- it's not how much you weigh in numbers it's how you look and feel. Take before and after pictures, and the measurments of your bust, waist, hips, thigh, and biceps the same day every week so you can see where you are loosing inches and how you will start to look lean and toned. Good luck!

It's great you're doing something to lose weight, but don't go TOO extreme. Never EVER deprive yourself of the foods you love, just cut back on them instead of eliminating them completely from your diet. Indulge and treat yourself once in a while. Depending on your usual intake of calories per day, cutting your diet in half can be bad---NEVER starve yourself. Other than that, good luck and more power to ya! =)

eat smaller portions through out the day, less fat and no take out! Try to drink 8 glasses of water a day. If you feel a craving or need to eat something chew some gum or have a fruit. Remember to eat healthy and also take a multi-vitamin and your exercise plan sounds good, I suggest cardio and swimming.

it depends on what your diet consists of now, because if you are eating bad, cutting that in half won't make a difference... the goal is to eat three healthy balanced meals per day.... and yes with all the rest of your factors you will lose weight!

cuttin calories can cut your metabolism and make you gain...(i know by experience)..cuttin out the junk and soda is excellent and if you have alot that may be all you need to to. Eat high fiber and as natural as possible ...fruits and veggies. And drink 8 8oz glasses of water per day.

As long as you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight.

Good luck :-)
I'm on my 4th week of diet/exercise and I've lost at least 5 lbs now!
