By hard liquor, I mean 80 proof. 40% liquor. I simply cannot handle Smirnoff Triple Distilled anymore, and cheaper liquor is pointless, its so vile. What else tastes good? I hate tequila, So Co is okay, Bacardi is the worst...
HELP! St.Pat's is around the corner!!

Or, just what makes a good mixer with Vodka, like where you can still get drunk with out having to use too much mixer, but still can't really taste the liquor?

Thanks guys, drink up!

For St. Patricks there isn't anything better than

Bushmill's, Jameson, & Green Spot Irish whiskies.

Scotch is good but not for St. Pat's
Johnnie Walker Blue is good, but around $200 a bottle if bought in the US.

Best mixer for vodka is cranberry juice or apple cider

SoCo 100.
Sailor Jerry or Captain Morgan is always good. Don't worry, dark spiced rum is very different than clear, light Bacardi.
If you wanna splurge, grab some Grande Marnier.
But you shouldn't write off all tequila until you taste Patron Silver. Honestly, order a shot just once, and see how it treats you.

And Dr Pepper will cover up just about anything, but I've never personally tried it with vodka.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a very refined tasting hard liquor. Vodka is truly pointless as it is tasteless.

I consider Canadian Mist an excellent liquor. It has a smooth, not brassy, taste and mixes well with your favorite mixer or just straight. Janet

Black Velvet and Coke mixed is similar to So Co in flavor. However I prefer it straight up. You still get the subtle hint of the charcoal aged blended whiskey; It kind of reminds me of a lazy afternoon grilling out by the pool. It is also very inexpensive for the quality of the product.
