Well, don't use the word "love." Just tell them you know a guy at school, who's very sweet and polite with you. Tell them you think he's cute, make it sounds as innocent as possible. That's how to win them over.

Just by the way you wrote this post it is clear you are young and not mature. I think you probably are infatuated with him - and are confusing it with love. My guess is 6-12 months from now you'll want nothing to do with him. Why not be young and enjoy life - don't get so serious!

Eventually you're going to have to tell them, or they'll find out.... Besides, don't you think your parents would be happy that you found somebody you are about and who cares about you??
Sometime in life your going to have to tell your parents that you're in love, or are you going to leave them out of your wedding whenever that day comes because you're too embarrassed to tell them you found love???

i have the same prob. i've been w/ my bf almost a yr and my parents jus think he is a "friend" that i've known for a couple of months. they don't know about us. cuz i don't know how to tell them that i love him. they would say i'm just foolish and it's lust or infatuation or whatever and i'm young and dumb and dont know what love is.

You don't have to tell them your in love. Just have him come around once in awhile and introduce him.
Parents understand dating- as much as you think they don't. LOL...

1st love, huh? they can probably tell that something's going on, unless they totally ignore you.
