I was a Dec wedding, if you choose this there are pros and cons
Pros
Everything is predecorated for you so money saver
Everyone is always in good moods because of the holiday season begining
Better weather, usually always a sunny day in Dec
Cons
Since everything is pre decorated you kind of are limited on your color choices or else you will clash with the decor of where you marry
Its a time when everyone is starting to have their Christmas parties so you NEED to send out save the dates, they arent just a fun option, if you dont send them people will most definitely plan something for your wedding weekend
Dec 1st is usually the weekend after Thanksgiving, you may be asking people to travel 2 weekends in a row.
To me, Christmas is my most favorite time of year and the cons were defintely outweighed by the Pros and it was what I always envisioned my wedding would be, so had no waivers on picking my day. But if you have never dreamed of a christams wedding, I would say dont go for it. Do the Oct or early Nov dates and make it easier on everyone.

I was ready to suggest something in October when days are mild here and still warm, but you're in San Antonio where weather is more constant. I'm feeling December 1. It'll be an easy anniversary date to remember[only half kidding] and it's a beautiful time of year. You could put up the Christmas together to kick off the wonderful season each year. I always thought a very small wedding floating down the river in San Antonio would be so beautiful. Imagine the photo ops! Just don't eat too much stuffing at Thanksgiving if you go with this date!! Blessings on your wedding and your life.

September 15th, October 3 and October 20th are all good dates. Any of the later dates and it starts getting into the holiday season and money gets a little harder to come by with the holidays so close. You get a really good choice of colors with those dates and the weather isn't too hot and it isnt too cold. Also with the birthdays in October to consider I would say September 15th or 22nd. That leaves the month of October special for the birthdays and doesn't tax hubby with trying to figure out how to outdo the gifts for anniversary vs. birthday!

My daughter was married Oct.21,2006, her birthday is Oct.4. she wanted a fall wedding, loves the colors. She had a beautiful day, the weather was perfect. We did do some research and found out that in NJ Oct. on average has very few rainy days.

I would do December because you can do a beautiful Christmas theme and decorating would be easy. you can also do colours like Red and white...or navy blue and silver is nice too. I'm not a fan of September as where I am from, the weather in September is too unperdictable. October is too halloween and thats not very romantic. November is nice, but I prefer December. I would have done december for my wedding, but we didnt want to have that long of an engagement and since we were engaged in october and couldnt plan a wedding by december, we didnt want to wait over a year.

I would pick the dates in September or October first. I wouldn't do November and December, it's too crazy a time with the holiday season. You will feel overwhelmed with planning/getting married and then having to deal with the holidays shortly after or before.

Personally, October is my fav month of the year, especially Halloween. However, with your birthday so close, I say Dec. 1st. December probably is the month with the most love in it. There are some really sweet colors that go perfectly in winter.
No matter the date, I'm sure it will be perfect!

I had orignally planned mine for Jan26, 2008 but had trouble booking a large enough reception hall close to our home that would allow alcohol. We wanted to stay close to home so ppl wouldn't have far to drive if they decided to drink and do so. (they are adults and they make their decisions). We moved ours up to Sept. 1st, 2007. You may want to not only check your pastor's schedule but any place you were considering for the reception. I don't know what the weather is there that time of year but in Pa, the weather in Sept is georgeous and the leaves are starting to turn colors giving us a beautiful backdrop.
