If a tumor about the size of a pinhead was found in my earlobe, would said earlobe have to be removed if the tumor was being taken out via surgery?

Is the tumor benign or cancerous if it is benign nothing extra would be removed except the tumor if it is cancer then all likely affected places would be removed and if it is not possible to remove then it would be destroyed using the radiation and chemotherapy also would follow the suit to give maximum trouble free life to the patient.

It's a very hypothetical situation. There is no way to detect a pinhead size tumor. Even if there were, a small sample biopsy would remove the entire tumor anyways. They remove skin cancers which are larger than a pinhead without any surgery. So, I don't see how a pinhead size tumor would be worse.

It's not likely that a tumor that small would require excision, or that it would even be found in the first place.

if they recommend it, do it because of the lymphatics there - if it spreads to the lymph system that could metastasize.
