Were, not was. God takes three forms, not three people. God is a Triune Diety. God the father, the son and the spirit. Think of God the father as the logic, the reason and the knowledge, think of God the son as the identifiable "face" God the father gave man so our little pin heads could fathom it and think of God the spirit as the empathy, the sympathy, the feelings . Knowledge, Identification, Emotions are the three classical parts of persuasion. God needs to persuade us to be our better selves.

now that would be a good idea....not knowing they are gods at all, but temporarily having to live with only human knowledge and abilities.
