Every Caribbean island is unique, and each island has it's own favorite dish. In the Virgin Islands for instance, or favorite food is Fungi(similar to polenta)and fish and we also like Kalallo that's similar to gumbo but it has in pork and fish and crabs.)So, therefore whenever you visit an island always ask what's the local dish and you will find out. However, in the Caribbean, one thing remains the same, everyone loves fish.

Chicken is probably the most popular food in the caribbean because it is the cheapest when compared to Meat, Pork, Fish and Poultry.
Fruits are plentiful and grow all year along with many different vegatables. Yuca which is a root vegatable is very popular in the Dominican Republic.

My popular Caribbean foodstuff, will be off beam some thing from Trinidad , yet inspite of this i respect all of them, so right here is going. Curry fowl and Roti with chickpeas and potatoes Coo-Coo with Stew Fish and Callaloo, that's to die for. Rice Pelau off beam. Oxtails with Rice and Peas Steamed fish with Breadfruit Oil down with coconut milk. i'm getting hungry basically penning this. the reason being that all of them style sturdy and that i'm used to it. I grew up eating all that sturdy foodstuff.

Seafood is one kind of food tat is very popular everywhere in the caribbeam, since it's a very plentyfull resource in the area.
I am from Curacao, and personally, I loooove goat meat, iguana, stewed papaya, stewed cabage, red snapper and coconut soup (sopitu).
