So this is another typical this or that tattoo question. Im going for my first one in a few months, and I am undecided on what tattoo I want to get as my first one. one is rather original in a sence that it was drawin up from scrach by a tattoo artist, and he didnt look at any other tattoo;s to get ideas from. The second tattoo is a rather popular one, but it represents something, where as the first one doesnt.

The first one is of a tear in the skin, stitched up, and in the middle a few stitches are riped, and there is a small eye peering out, the second one is a panther tattoo, and the panther is also riping out of my skin, but it represents my anger which has a tendancey of just "riping out" from time to time..

The first one would be on my side, from my hip up to about 5 inches from my armpit, and the panter one would eather be on my sholder, or sholder blade, no quite sure on that one yet as far as placement..

So what do you think?

Go with the original! 90% of people find themselves regretting their first tattoo- but if it's original- done nicely, and you can find meaning in it- personally- that meaning will always be with you- so you'll never grow tired of it!

I think that nothing is sexier than a Man/Woman who puts thought into their tattoos....something meaningful like Protection symbols or Drummer's sticks or a Celtic Knot for a Irish Lad. The Samaurai Code on a Martial Artist arm, a gal with a Hummerbird for Hope....

Get my drift...take some time as that Message will be conveyed for a Lifetime . U may want more....so start small...so as to build & Don't forget the Job Prospect you may Limit with Visible Tatt's. Good luck!

not that your a sissy or anything but i personally would start with the smaller one first since it will be you first ever you dont no how it will feel for you when i got my first tattoo it wasnt big or anything about 4 inchs long 2 wide but it was a experince that i wouldnt want to do for hours upon hours going in blind my second one was bigger and i knew what to expect so it wasnt as bad

also do the tattoo that has meaning for you because it is something you will have to have on your body and see everyday for the rest of your life

I am a tattooist and i advise you to think hard and long before getting a tattoo because they are there for life. when people go to have a tattoo they normally know what they want if not look at books etc normally a tattoo will pick you when you are browsing Thur a book. Most people who have a few tattoo's have a theme i think it looks messy if you have bits and pieces with no real theme . Again I say think before you act.

I don't think it would be a good idea to get your 1st tattoo on your side. It is a painful area to get one. You don't want to be quarter way a through the tattoo and have to pull out if you start getting uncomfortable. If you get one on the shoulder at least you will have the experience of what it feels liked to get tattooed. Good luck to what ever you decide.

i think you should get the one without the panther first because once the tattoos there its there for good and you can always go back in and add the panther to the one you already have.

for first tatto i would go for something small and timeless, so you can see what the pains like and the healing prosses without having to sit for hours for a huge tattoo.

I like the panther, but make sure that the tatts that you get have personal significance.

I think the panther on your shoulder blade would be great. Have its claws reaching up over your shoulder.

i would get the panther on my back first that way you can get a feel for the needle because from what ive heard it hurts like an sob to get one on your rib cage
