Illogical responses may still get best answer if said in logical terms. I admire the fictional character 'spock' but I am not him. Some things are knowable to me that even he could not comprehend. I am who I am.

It is ego, lack of humility, and ignorance about the unknowable. They seek Answers, when Questions are more valuable.

Because we are curious creatures. It is human to want to know, seek..search, without this instinct evolution would not be possible. There is no question without an answer.
