Alcohol was banned long time ago and it created a black market, same argument is being made to keep porn legal, and many want certain drugs to be made legal to avoid the black market. And in some European countries they have made prostitution legal!

So to avoid any black market, should we make EVERYTHING legal? Seems like we are heading towards that. And since there is a market for just about everything (from good to filthy) where do we draw a line?
Those who follow a religion may use their religion as a reference, but how does a Government or an Atheist person decide that?

This is not putting any beliefs down.

You have to draw the line somewhere. I agree with you there is a potential to have a black market for practically anything. It is ridiculous to say that something should be legal because it is creating a black market. I think we need to keep the currently illegal drugs illegal because they are dangerous, not just to the people taking them but to those around them. Think about how many people are killed by drunk drivers every year. Can you imagine how many people would be killed by high driving if drugs were made legal. Even if drugs were made legal, those that deal them would not go away. If they could not make a profit selling drugs, they would find something else to sell.

I actually have less of a problem with prostitution being legal. It is not the kind of activity I would participate in but if it would not really harm anyone else I do not have a problem with it being legal. I would probably be safer if is was legal because it could be regulated and perhaps fewer underage girls would be involved, of course it could have the opposite effect.
