Evidently a "true atheist" knows every scientific answer to every question. That is what this answerer said:
"A true atheist would know everything about the universe to make their statement. And since you dont know everything about the universe you shouldnt even be making a statement. Peace out................ "

Not to insult your intelligence, but I had no idea that to not believe in God you had to be a genius scientist as well. No wonder I am a deist, I am not intelligent enough to be an atheist.
ROTFLMFAO!

You fail! This person is not an atheist, but a theist. So he is not the right adress to search for the self-definition of atheists.
I find that atheists, for the most part, know that they don't know everything.
Most atheists explain the world by scientific means. But if someone knew everything, what would be the point of science?

No such ingredient. The term "real" is by no skill needless to say defined, and people who attempt to define it commonly finally end up putting their bias on demonstrate. I hear plenty with regard to how you may inform who's the "real Christian" by way of gazing their "end result". the concern is, of direction, that maximum communities have numerous charitable businesses and motives. Even the ever-contemptable Jerry Falwell sponsors charities that occassionally carry out a little good. perception in God and/or Jesus is a effortless function between Baptists, Christian identity, Mormonism, Catholicism, Portestants, Adventists, Pentecoastals, and the KKK. each and all the above insist that they are the "real" ones, and all of them can cite the Bible as "information" of their claims. when you consider that there is not any concrete, purpose standards, the declare of "this guy or woman is/isn't a 'real Christian'" is a merely speculative opinion. except somebody is A) a telepath and B) actual knows for a actuality what "God's" opinion of a "real Christian" is, no you may say who's "real" and who isn't.

I'll go ahead and say that one person who made that statement probably isn't the elected representative of all Atheists. Some do think they know everything but so do some religious people. There are arrogant people everywhere. Hilarious "answer" though. Perfect example of why certain groups get a bad rap.

Some people seem to actually believe this. Yup, it's an idiotic statement for someone to have made, but I've seen it several times here already.

Crap. I feel so stupid. I thought "atheism" had to do with "belief in god." To have "ultimate knowledge of everything in the universe" I thought the word at least would have "gnostic" tucked in there somewhere.
This means I have to know quantum physics, the distance to alpha centari, how to assemble an internal combustion engine AND the complete filmography of Seth Green.

Yeah I know, I'm going to hell....
If there is one lol.

No one knows everything. They are attempting to say that god might be in that single thing that we can't explain.
Not knowing something is no more evidence that there is a god than not knowing about bacteria meant that demons were invading your body.

Gee, since I can't prove a negative, I guess not! LOL! I also can't divide by zero...oh, the humanity!
Hey! Bad Squirrel is right...didn't Jesus say he knew everything?
Notice how the "infallible" one can't spell "atheist".
