it's kind of groundhog day type dream except that it is very short and
it does repeat (and repeat)
the most clear version is where I am sleeping under a ceiling fan and
like a strobe of a strobiscope I see / feel/ dream the fan move about
a part of a revolution
undeniably this may be some non sleep / semi awake phenomenon

I have had other dreams that had this "skip in the record" repetivness
(an outstreached hand from another, willing to shake hands, saying hello)
over and over
rather boring I might say

ever have anything like this?
ever hear of anyone else reporting this?

do you have name for it?

(repetitive parts of dreams too short to have a narrative)

thank you

Do you have a ceiling fan above your bed?
If you do, it could be that it's the last thing you're seeing before you drift off, and it sticks in your mind(kind of like getting a good look at the sun, and then closing your eyes and seeing still there).
Otherwise, it could be that there is subconsciously a reason your brain is seeing that fan not make the full rotation that it's supposed to be making.......like it's "not doing the job it's supposed to be doing".
Dreams are the minds way of either taking a vacation, or working stuff out that you can't work out in a conscious state.
They've always fascinated me!!!!!!!

dream content and according to Freud is symbolic in nature,it has some meaning in the unconscious, you just have to solve it out ,or try to consult a psychologist .repetition of a part of a dream ,means that your mind is trying to tell you something that has been sunken to the deeper level of your sole.
